今回は、少しカジュアルな場面での会話です。
A: Hey, how was your weekend? Did you do anything fun?
「こんにちは、週末はどうだった？楽しいことは何かした？」
B: Hi! Yeah, it was pretty good. I went hiking with some friends and then caught up on my favorite TV series. How about you?
「こんにちは！まあ、結構良かったよ。友達とハイキングに行って、その後はお気に入りのテレビシリーズを見たよ。あなたはどうだった？」
「pretty」は、「very」と同じような意味で使われます。
A: Nice! I spent most of the weekend relaxing at home. I watched a movie and did some cooking experiments in the kitchen.
「いいね！週末のほとんどは家でリラックスして過ごしたよ。映画を観たり、キッチンで新しい料理にチャレンジしたりしたよ。」
B: That sounds like a cozy weekend. Sometimes it’s nice to just unwind at home, right?
「それは居心地の良い週末のようだね。時々、家でくつろぐのもいいよね？」）
「cozy」もおしゃれな英語ですね。某有名ケーキ屋さんの名前にも使われていますね。
A: Absolutely! So, how’s everything going at work? Any exciting projects coming up?
「もちろん！さて、仕事のほうはどう？今後のエキサイティングなプロジェクトはある？」
B: Well, we’ve got a new client on board, so things are getting busy. We’re working on a major marketing campaign for their product launch.
「まあ、新しいクライアントが参加してくれたから、忙しくなってきてるよ。彼らの製品ローンチのための大規模なマーケティングキャンペーンを進めているんだ。」
「on board」は、ビジネスの現場で新しい顧客やメンバーが加わった（又は加わろうとしている）ことを意味するときに使われます。
A: That sounds exciting! I’d love to hear more about it sometime. Let me know if you need any help.
「それはワクワクするね！いつか詳しく聞かせてもらいたいな。何か手伝うことがあれば教えてね。」
B: Thanks! I’ll definitely keep you in the loop. By the way, have you tried the new coffee place that opened up near the office?
「ありがとう！絶対にお知らせするよ。ところで、オフィスの近くにできた新しいコーヒーショップ試したことある？」
A: Not yet, but I’ve heard good things about it. We should check it out together during our lunch break one of these days.
「まだ行ってないけど、いい評判を聞いたことあるよ。いつか昼休みに一緒に行ってみるべきだね。」
B: Absolutely! Let’s make it happen. Anyway, I should get back to work now. Catch up with you later!
「絶対に！実現させよう。とりあえず、仕事に戻るとするか。また後で話そうね！」
「See you later.」の代わりに、「Catch up with you later!」などもどうぞ。
