This proverb advises against disturbing a situation or creating problems when things are currently calm or peaceful. It implies that interfering with something that is already settled may lead to unnecessary trouble or complications. The expression is often used metaphorically to suggest leaving undisturbed matters that might stir up conflict or difficulties.
