Origin or Interpretation（起源ないし解釈）
This proverb suggests that things acquired or achieved with little effort are easily lost or devalued. It implies that if something is gained without much work or sacrifice, it may not be appreciated or maintained as well as something earned through hard work.
“このことわざは、少ない努力で得られたり達成されたりしたものは、簡単に失われたり価値が下がったりすると示唆しています。努力や犠牲を伴わずに得られるものは、労働によって得られるものほどには評価されず、維持されないかもしれないということを意味しています。”
